The establishment of the green building materials e-mall relies on the "Notice on Government Procurement to Support the Pilot Work of Green Building Materials to Promote Construction Quality Improvement" jointly issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Ministry of Finance on October 13, 2020 (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice").
The "Notice" mentioned that a group of cities with a good foundation for green development should be selected to promote green building materials products such as recyclable and reusable building materials, high-strength and durable building materials, green decoration materials, etc. in government procurement projects, and encourage the construction of Two-star and above green buildings.

Green building materials refer to qualified building materials that use clean production technology, use less natural resources and energy, and use a large amount of industrial or municipal solid waste. Last year, seven national ministries and commissions issued the "Action Plan for Green Building Creation", proposing that by 2022, the proportion of green building area in new urban buildings will reach 70%, and vigorously promote the application of prefabricated technology and green building materials. The green building market has huge potential.
The first batch of pilot cities are Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Huzhou, Qingdao and Foshan. Eight categories of new government procurement projects in these cities, including hospitals, schools, office buildings, complexes, exhibition halls, convention centers, gymnasiums, and affordable housing, will be the first trial sites for green building materials.
Foshan City is the first city in the country to launch a green building materials electronic mall. Currently, the electronic mall has 29 categories such as ceramic tiles, decorative materials, and electrical lighting. In response to the notice issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, in April this year, the Foshan Municipal People's Government issued the "Foshan City Pilot Work Implementation Plan for Promoting Green Building Materials and Promoting Construction Quality Improvement" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), which clearly mentioned that by the end of 2022 , to realize that the proportion of green building materials application in the city's new state-owned capital investment and construction projects is not less than 30%; more than 10 products have entered the Foshan City's green building materials catalog00; there are more than 500 products certified as green building materials products in the city.
So far, Foshan City has announced the first batch of 56 pilot projects, with a construction area of approximately 2.48 million square meters and a total investment of 16.2 billion yuan.
These include 2 social investment projects, both of which are real estate projects that Vanke Group actively participates in pilot projects.
The "Plan" clearly mentions that the demand for products included in the green building materials list will be effectively guaranteed.
Foshan City selects pilot projects among eight categories of new construction projects such as hospitals and schools where state-owned funds participate in the investment and construction. It is required that the green building materials product categories used in the pilot projects are included in the Foshan City Green Building Materials Catalog.
